I'm Dani Bucholtz

My career began in corporate sales, but I quickly found my path in the mortgage industry as a loan originator. With two young children at home and a growing desire to trade constant travel for meaningful work, I discovered my passion for helping people navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives, homeownership. Many of my clients came to me after feeling like “just another number” elsewhere, and I was determined to change that.

When I couldn’t find a company that shared my values or prioritized people over profit, I did what any slightly bold, slightly stubborn entrepreneur would do — I started my own mortgage company. My philosophy was simple: treat every client the way I’d want to be treated. That approach built a business founded on trust, referrals, and genuine relationships.

In 2004, I added my real estate license to the mix, and once again, my business grew organically, powered entirely by word‑of‑mouth referrals. Two decades later, many of those original clients still send new faces my way, which remains the best compliment I could ask for.

By 2019, I noticed another industry gap: most real estate education wasn’t designed for how today’s professionals really learn. I founded Encompass Real Estate School to change that, creating classes that are engaging, relevant, and yes, even enjoyable. Since then, the school has expanded across multiple states, offering continuing education and post‑licensing courses that realtors actually look forward to taking.

I’m a Designated Managing Broker in three states, with extensive experience helping realtors grow thriving, ethical, and profitable businesses. I also hold an MBA, combining business insight with real‑world real estate expertise to bring depth and practicality to every class, workshop, and one‑on‑one coaching session.

As a practicing Realtor® and instructor, I don’t just teach about the industry, I’m actively working in it. I see the trends and challenges firsthand and bring that real‑world perspective into every course.

I’m a tech enthusiast, lifelong learner, and proud dog mom to Coco and Willow. I live in beautiful North Carolina with my husband, where I continue doing what I love most: helping real estate professionals learn, lead, and shine in their own way.
